Innogration GmbH is a new member of Solid Unit, the network for climate-neutral construction using mineral building materials. Based in Bernkastel-Kues, the company develops innovative ceiling systems with integrated building technology and component activation – a slim, flexible concrete construction system that makes efficient use of renewable heat.
For several years, Innogration has been researching solutions for storing renewable energy directly in buildings. Concrete components such as floor slabs serve as thermal storage units which, in conjunction with the ground, can absorb large amounts of energy and release it again as needed.
Real-world data on heat storage was collected over a period of five years in the company's own Innoliving innovation building. The result: residential buildings can now be designed to be completely self-sufficient in terms of heating, cooling and hot water energy – without additional operating costs.
‘We are delighted to welcome Innogration, a strong driver of innovation for the heat transition in solid construction, to our network,’ said Thomas Zawalski, Managing Director of Solid Unit e.V.
‘As an SME, Innogration GmbH translates developments into innovative products in a targeted and immediate manner because we don't do sandbox exercises,’ emphasised Thomas Friedrich, Managing Director of Innogration GmbH.
