Peikko supplies rebar couplers to a 220 meter-high building in Vienna

Peikko Austria GmbH., a subsidiary of the Peikko Group Corporation, has signed a contract to supply more than 40.000 Peikko Modix® rebar connections to a project “Donau City Tower 1” in Vienna, Austria. The building is one of the highest in Austria with the height of 220 meters and will be built with in-situ technology. 

Peikko’s Modix connections will be used for all rebar connections between the building’s central core and the slabs (vertical structure / horizontal structure). Peikko’s first deliveries will take place in November and they will continue until the end of 2011. The general contractor of the building site is Max Bögl Austria GmbH and Peikko’s partner and customer in the project is Stahlform GmbH, which will also use Peikko’s equipment at the building site.

Since starting with the Modix product range in 2008 Peikko has been targeting larger projects.
