Schöck honored for pioneering spirit in Central and Eastern Europe

During the award ceremony at GUM – the oldest and noblest department store in Moscow – in Red Square the prize “honorable mention” in the country category Germany was presented to Schöck Bauteile GmbH.
The prize awarded concerns the Emerging Markets Award 2008 and honors the extraordinary success of Schöck in the emerging regions of Europe. Apart from the economic data, decisive criteria of the jury were, e.g., innovation, compliance with environmental and social standards and the sustainability of commitment. “Our innovative structural solutions often meet with conventional, traditional construction methods. Therefore, we take qualification of building experts as a matter of course in those countries and a precondition for lasting growth. In particular, this is an important field of work of the Eberhard Schöck foundation in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe,” explained Nikolaus Wild, managing director of Schöck Bauteile GmbH located in Baden-Baden. The jury in Moscow commended the pioneering spirit and the courage with which medium sized enterprises pursued their business ideas, among others, in Central and Eastern Europe.
