Portfolio expanded to include high-performance recycling plants

With the introduction of a completely new product segment, AJF Group Engineering GmbH is specifically expanding its portfolio to include recycling plants for fresh concrete. The company is thus responding to a clear practical need: many concrete plants want concrete recycling plants and water treatment from a single source – technically coordinated, economically viable, and space-saving.

AJF has developed two independent but combinable systems for this purpose: the RCS 6 and RCS 8 recycling screws with diameters of 600 and 800 mm, respectively, and the RT25 washing drum with a capacity of up to 25 m³/h. Both systems can be optionally combined with an AJF scoop wheel, eliminating the need for installation in the ground and costly foundation work. This significantly reduces investment costs and opens up completely new possibilities for plant installation – especially in confined spaces in existing concrete plants.

RT25 – High-performance washing system with maximum flexibility

The RT25 washing plant was specially developed for ready-mix concrete plants with truck mixers, concrete pumps, and high return quantities. With inlet tables in 4 or 6 m widths, optional table rinsing, and the option of mounting the scoop wheel on all sides, the plant can be optimally adapted to the conditions on site.

A special design feature is the hydraulically hinged aluminum cover, which makes maintenance work much easier. The hot-dip galvanized trough ensures durability, while the use of only one drive reduces maintenance and operating costs. The large water volume achieves excellent washing results: with a separation cut of approx. 0.25 mm, all coarser components of the fresh concrete are recovered as washed mixed gravel.

The residual water is collected in an agitator tank and can be transferred directly to the AJF CWAS water treatment system with density adjustment – a decisive advantage for a closed-loop recycling system at the concrete plant.

RCS 6 and RCS 8 – The compact and efficient solution

The RCS 6 and RCS 8 recycling screws are the ideal entry point into fresh concrete recycling. They are particularly space-saving, flexibly configurable, and suitable for ready-mix concrete plants with up to eight truck mixers as well as for precast plants or temporary use on construction sites.

Here, too, the optional scoop wheel enables material to be picked up at ground level without the need for foundation work. The hot-dip galvanized trough, a screw helix made of Hardox HD400, and the standard automatic central lubrication system ensure a long service life and low maintenance requirements, combined with low energy consumption.

At the end of the screw, the operator receives washed mixed gravel in reproducible quality, while the gray water is directed separately into a collection tank. The plant is optionally available as a mobile concrete recycling solution with an integrated agitator tank.

Why fresh concrete recycling is indispensable today

In many places, breaking up hardened concrete is hardly feasible for reasons of space and permits. At the same time, disposal costs for concrete slurry, residual water, or material declared as construction waste are rising steadily. Here, AJF recycling plants offer an economically and ecologically convincing alternative.

The advantages for concrete plant operators are obvious:

Reusing washed mixed gravel saves resources and material costs;

Significant reduction in disposal effort and costs;

Compliance with all environmental and regulatory requirements through verifiable recycling management;

CO₂ reduction through the elimination of additional transport routes;

Recycling of fresh concrete, wash water, concrete residues, sand, gravel, and gray water in a combined AJF solution.

A system concept from a single source

With the RT25 and RCS systems, AJF offers not only two powerful machines, but also a well-thought-out overall concept for the concrete plant of the future. In combination with the AJF scoop wheel and water treatment, the result is a fully integrated recycling solution that can be flexibly adapted to almost any operational situation.

AJF is thus positioning itself as a provider of holistic solutions for concrete, water, and recycling management – developed with practical application in mind, designed for easy maintenance, and economically convincing in operation.
