Innovation: Tebea – More than just thermal insulation:
Innovation for prefabricated construction
The first part of the entries for the 2026 Supplier Industry Innovation Award was published in the previous issue of BFT 02/2026 as part of the 70th BetonTage. This time, we present the second part.
With Tebea, Peikko has launched a load-bearing thermal insulation element that not only meets the thermal insulation requirements of DIN 4108-2 and Supplement 2 and minimizes thermal bridges, but above all addresses the needs of modern, serial construction. After all, efficient construction today requires more than just building physics—modular, flexible, and sustainable solutions are in demand.
What makes Tebea special?
Modularity: Lengths in increments of 250 to 1000 mm reduce cutting effort and waste – an ecological and economic advantage. Dismantlability: Components are not glued, but pre-tensioned. This facilitates adjustments and recycling. Ease of installation: Easy handling and optional carrying straps ensure safety and ergonomics on the construction site. Material selection: Mineral rock wool meets thermal, acoustic, and fire protection requirements and is recyclable.
The innovation lies not only in performance, but also in the holistic view of the construction processes – from production to installation. Tebea stands for efficiency, sustainability, and practicality in prefabricated construction.
