(57) The present invention discloses an indopod concrete armour block for resisting wave action. The armour block comprises at least one first hexagonal mass (102) and at least one second hexagonal mass (104), disposed on opposite ends of the armour block. The first hexagonal mass (102) and second hexagonal mass (104) are connected by a hexagonal stem (106), which maintains a fixed spatial relationship between masses. The at least one first hexagonal mass (102) and the at least one second hexagonal mass (104) are configured to engage with adjacent blocks by direct surface contact, restricting movement and distributing forces across interconnected armour blocks.
