Build digitally and remain competitive with Trimble software solutions

Deadline and cost pressure, shortage of materials and skilled labor, and calls for increased sustainability – the construction industry is facing enormous challenges. Digital construction processes play a central role in remaining competitive.

Trimble develops technologies, software systems and services for architectural design, engineering and the construction industry that support project teams throughout the lifecycle of a building. Tekla software solutions for Building Information Modeling (BIM) and structural design enable planners, designers, builders, contractors and project managers to work more efficiently at every stage of the project. The structure is mapped using a consistent digital building model that comprises all relevant information and is continually enriched with data throughout the design and construction process.

This data can then be used, for example, to optimize the sustainability of the project. The construction industry is facing increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions. With the integrated Embodied Carbon Calculator, Tekla Structures offers a tool to calculate carbon emissions at different stages of the project, thus paving the way to achieving future climate neutrality. Users can determine the environmental impact of their design quickly and clearly right in Tekla Structures and compare different design options and their respective carbon loads.

Model-based and data-driven collaboration between all project partners is at the heart of successful digital construction processes. The cloud-based BIM platform Trimble Connect enables everyone involved to be connected to exactly the data they need at the right time. Constructible information in the Common Data Environment (CDE) provides a better overview of the project, enables sound decision-making processes, and increases profitability. This potential can be exploited not only in the design stage but also in the implementation phase right on the construction site.
