Anhanguera Construção Industrializada is modernizing its precast concrete plant in collaboration with the European machinery and software manufacturer Progress Group, thereby expanding its product portfolio. With a new carousel plant featuring a medium level of automation, the Brazilian pioneer in precast concrete is now manufacturing double walls in addition to lattice girder floors. The market response has been strong, with numerous orders —the new production lines are already operating at full capacity.

The Precast Concrete Industry in Brazil

Until recently, the labor market situation was relatively stable, but now Brazil is also facing a labor shortage. As a result, precast concrete production is gaining importance. Industrialized construction reduces construction times, rework, and waste, and ensures greater control and efficiency from design through to the completion of a construction project. Currently, many multi-story public housing projects are being built in Brazil. Lattice girder floors and double walls are particularly suitable for this purpose. While double walls are not yet widely used in Brazil, they are gaining increasing importance as a thin, precast wall element. Anhanguera Construção Industrializada is playing a pioneering role in this area and, following the initial modernization of its lattice girder floors production, has now also added facilities for the manufacture of double-wall panels.

Industrialization of the Construction Industry

With over three decades of experience in the industry, Anhanguera Construção Industrializada has earned a strong reputation for the production and installation of precast concrete elements. The flexibility of its production line now enables the company to offer a broader product range and tailor it to the specific needs of its customers.

“Our mission is to invest in the industrialization of the construction industry by providing high-quality floor slabs and structural solutions based on state-of-the-art technology and efficiency. This enables construction projects to be completed faster, safer, and more affordably,” according to management.

Anhanguera has moved from its old production facility to a completely new site with new infrastructure. The company has remained in the same region—in Itupeva, north of São Paulo. In addition, an adjacent property has already been purchased with the aim of further expansion.

Modernization for the Future

After the lattice girder floor production line was finalized in 2024, Anhanguera Construção Industrializada has once again solidified its pioneering role in Brazil’s precast concrete industry and improved product quality. For example, the automated operation of the curing chamber is an absolute rarity in South America. The European machinery supplier Progress Group also delivered, among other things, a new pallet cleaner, a plotter, and—in addition to several stations that can still be operated manually—a pallet stacker. From the outset, these machines were equipped with the Ebos software—also from Progress.

In 2026, additional investments were made to expand the facility with the goal of accelerating double-wall production. With a new turning equipment, a second compaction unit, a tilting equipment, additional pallets, and the automation of the existing concrete distributor, production is now running at full speed. The concrete distributor is linked to the concrete mixing plant, and the Ebos software is used to order concrete quantities based on demand. This ensures that no concrete is wasted and that exactly the required amount is dispensed onto the pallet. Currently, production can be carried out on over 40 pallets in record time, with minimal manual effort. The technologies used in the production facility not only increase process efficiency but also save energy: The software ensures precise production control, optimizes production cycles, and thereby ensures optimal utilization of the individual machines within the carousel plant. Ebos is an MES software solution for controlling, monitoring, and analyzing the entire continuous production process. Through features such as automatic pallet assignment and real-time visualization, it increases flexibility, transparency, and efficiency in production.

Anhanguera Construção Industrializada benefits from optimized workflows, reduced downtime, higher productivity, and better utilization of its facilities through data-driven analytics and smart process optimization. The curing of freshly poured concrete elements takes place in a drying chamber in a very compact space under controlled temperature, humidity, and time conditions.

Progress with Progress

Anhanguera Construção Industrializada and Progress Group share the same values: innovation, efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Given this foundation, it is no surprise that the collaboration proceeded absolutely smoothly and was highly satisfactory for both parties. The key to the successful installation and commissioning was the precise and efficient planning of the plant in advance and the resulting uninterrupted production.

“Production was able to continue for the most part even during installation—that was essential for us and was greatly appreciated on our part,” said management. Since Anhanguera Construção Industrializada is operating at full capacity with its lattice girder floor production, this was a key factor.

The high product quality offered by the group’s machinery and software was decisive for the positive collaboration with Progress Group. With the installation of the system in 2024, significantly fewer workers were needed to manufacture precast concrete components, and output increased by 30%. Thanks to the high quality and short delivery times, the company can now even compete successfully against lower-priced suppliers in the region. With this latest expansion, Anhanguera Construção Industrializada is now well-positioned for the future.
