Precast floor slabs with an in-situ concrete toping

Verification of the lap joint detailing

Two-way precast floor slabs require an overlapping joint of the load carrying reinforcement in both directions. As the overlapping reinforcement lies within the in-situ concrete, special detailing of this layered fabric joint is required according to [1] and [2]. The detailing of the lab joint between precast floor slabs with an in-situ concrete topping is discussed in [3]. Further consideration of precast floor slabs considering the deflection of these slabs are discussed in [5].
