Thin slabs from the block machine

Creativity that transcends limits inspires and opens up new possibilities. One such eye-opener is the work of art of 151 meter length entitled “Belief and Superstition” at the Viborg Kunsthalle in Denmark.

More than 12,000 concrete slabs

For this work of art 12,083 slabs of five different shades of gray were used. The thin slabs of size 30 x 30 x 3,2 cm were manufactured by IBF, one of Denmark’s major manufacturer of concrete products, on a KVM block machine and built in in upright format.
