Meeting point of the precast industry
Following a two-year rhythm, which has become a tradition meanwhile, the Engineering Days taking place on December 3 and 4 will turn the pre-Christmas capital of Austria, Vienna, into the center of the precast concrete industry. Organized by the three companies, Ne-metschek Engineering, Prilhofer Consulting und SAA Engineering, the Engineering Days understand themselves as platform for discussions between managers and directors of precast concrete plants and the technology leaders in the industry.
Prof. Dr. Norbert Gronau (University of Potsdam, Chair of Business Information Systems and Electronic Government), an expert in industrial business processes, could be attracted to give the opening lecture on the topic of increasing the competiveness. The directly following first session is dedicated to efficient communication in precast concrete plants. Further main topics are planning and production of solid elements, product innovations and new technology developments as well as reports on experience gained in practice. The lectures are chosen by the specialist jury chaired by Dr. Herbert Kahmer (Syspro-Gruppe Betonbauteile e. V. - a German quality community for precast concrete elements). A novelty in the program is a panel discussion on the topic „BIM in precast construction“.
Exhibition and workshops
Parallel to the conference more than 20 exhibitors will showcase their products and solutions in the fields of mechanical engineering and plant construction, automation technology as well as CAD and ERP systems. Workshops will take a close look into the topics of the lectures and offer space for practice-oriented demonstrations and discussions. A special workshop series will be dedicated to the growing demand for West European precast concrete technology on the Russian market.
The program is complemented by a speech of the well-known Austrian „mentalist“ Manuel Horeth as well as a gala dinner on the first day of the event.
The conference is addressed to all manufacturers of precast concrete elements, project developers and construction companies as well as all companies and persons interested in these technologies.
