Lafarge sells cement
plant in Ukraine

Lafarge announced that it will sell its Ukrainian cement business, which has an enterprise value of euro 96 million, to CRH plc. The cement plant, which uses the wet process, is located in the Lviv region of Western Ukraine. The transaction is subject to approval by the Ukrainian authorities and is expected to be completed this year.

The Lafarge Group will continue to do business in Ukraine. It operates three quarries which supply aggregate to the Ukrainian, Russian and Polish markets.
