Examples of large dimensions in precast construction

Higher, heavier, longer –

Precast reinforced-concrete components are especially well-suited for erection of wide-spanning, unsupported structures that lead to flexible uses of real property and can be easily converted to other purposes. In the following, illustrated on two examples, it is demonstrated how such buildings could be erected with especially large and heavy precast parts.

The first project involves a high-bay warehouse with a clear height of 34.40 m for which Bremer AG erected the concrete structure for the kitchen manufacturer Nobilia in Kaunitz near Gütersloh, Germany (Fig. 1,).
