Distinguished guests,

This year’s 63rd BetonTage edition will again be showcasing a wealth of information and many innovations from the concrete and precast world. Nowadays, virtually everyone seems to be talking about modular and serial construction again. Accordingly, it is none other than us, as representatives of the precast industry, who are in a perfect position to draw from an incredibly huge amount of experience and expertise that allows us to generate highly attractive innovations. At the BetonTage, we would like to present some of those to you and guide you through the process of translating them into tangible products.

Serial production also makes it possible to optimize resource utilization, which is becoming increasingly important amid the growing scarcity of basic resources. The solutions to be showcased at this year’s congress reflect the lead we have taken in this regard. This position should also play to the advantage of major infrastructural projects currently being planned in Russia, this year’s guest country. Once again, we have partnered with a non-Central European country, and I would like to cordially welcome its delegates to our congress. This endeavor underscores the growing international significance of our event, which is not only Europe’s largest convention but is also attracting increasing attention around the globe. Our successful Asian counterpart, BetonTage asia, will be held in Shanghai for the sixth time. Last year, Chengdu was added as a further venue in China. Our partnership with Messe München provides yet another opportunity to deepen the transfer of our expertise.

Another important topic we have been working on in the last couple of years is to identify ways and means to attract skilled junior staff to our industry, including discussing matters of education and vocational training, which have always been at the core of the BetonTage, as well as communicating the attractiveness of our jobs. In this respect, it is worth noting that many of our operations are located at a certain distance from city or town centers, which is a key factor in these considerations – as are the career opportunities in our industry largely shaped by small and medium-sized businesses. We are determined to present and communicate the associated benefits – our industry platform provides the perfect venue for this purpose. I wish all of us insightful talks and a lot of inspiration at the industry’s top-rated event, our BetonTage congress.

Yours,

x
