With its publication “Stahlbetonbau,” Beuth-Verlag offer a best-practice handbook on concrete construction, with examples from design, construction, planning, and execution. The handbook, published by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Josef Hegger and Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Peter Mark, collects contributions of leading experts from science, teaching, and practice. They deal with trends, developments, and interesting facts. The collection includes the contributions “A Building Information Modelling,” “Structural fire design,” “Reinforced-concrete construction: practice-oriented design and reinforcement with an example,” and “Prestressed flat slabs.” Worthy of special mention, according to Beuth-Verlag, is the main topic “BIM in reinforced-concrete construction.”

This best-practice handbook on reinforced-concrete construction is addressed to construction, testing and structural engineers, construction experts, building authorities and companies, as well as universities and engineering schools in the field of construction.
