60 years of pioneering spirit, innovation and progress
Founded in July of 1961 by Martin and Gerhard Würschum and continued, in 1998, by Hubert and Volker Würschum, the third generation will now be actively involved in shaping the future of Würschum GmbH. Precisely 60 years after its foundation, Hubert’s son Tim Würschum has now joined the Management Board. In this way, the family company has succeeded over the course of time to renew again and again the link between tradition and progress. Over the past 60 years, numerous new developments in the sectors of dosing and filling systems have been implemented.
Starting out with simple dosing cylinders used for admixtures in concrete mixers, numerous machine series have been developed by the company over the course of time. In the late 1970s, Würschum brought the first admixture scales to market maturity. In the area of liquid color dosing systems, Würschum has likewise developed many different series for dry dosing: including simple liquid color dosing cylinders and liquefaction systems. Today’s type Com 70 pneumatic granule metering system, with a precision of up to ± 5 grams and including up to 10 different colors, was brought to series production in different versions.
Würschum successfully launched the Mini-Com 10 series on the market for customers who need to work with an even greater precision of ± 1 grams. By now, already well over a dozen systems of this kind have been delivered by Würschum worldwide for production of the most diverse products. For use of color powder, the Flex 70 series was very well received on the market, thanks to its many varieties. Every single one of the products named incorporates Würschum corporate values and its 60 years of experience in dosing systems.
Enthusiasm and innovation
“We put just as much enthusiasm and innovation into our second mainstay in the area of filling systems for liquids and solids of every category, primarily in markets for cosmetics, food, chemical products and explosion protection. Thanks to numerous machinery and plant manufacturers, resellers, representatives as well as subsidiaries in the USA and, not least, our many end users, Würschum GmbH is excellently equipped for the future in all its various business units. For this we thank all our customers, subcontractors, business partners and co-workers,” summarizes Hubert Würschum.
“Increasing resource efficiency and intelligent production process optimization are key areas of our corporate strategy. We are also pursuing these objectives with the opening of a new administration building in the near future and of a second spacious assembly hall at our new location in Ostfildern Ruit, Germany, at the end of 2022. We are satisfied only when our customers are satisfied,” adds the new Managing Director Tim Würschum.
