MC Bauchemie

20 years successful in Hungary

After the fall of the iron curtain in the early nineteen nineties, the need for upgrading buildings in Hungary was enormous. The demand for construction products was accordingly high. MC Bauchemie, the German manufacturer of construction chemicals, recognized the great potential for its construction chemicals and, in 1994, dared to step into the Hungarian market. In 2014, the company celebrates the 20th anniversary of  this pioneering achievement.

The takeover of the Hungarian company Novomix GmbH became the basis for creating MC-Bauchemie Hungary. Today, the production and sales activities are successfully controlled from Budapest. The MC team in Hungary that supports the managerial duo Béla Rapp, managing director and production manager of the plant in Kövesgyür, and László Hégely, managing director and commercial manager in Budapest, is today, with a workforce of more than 60, among the leading construction chemicals companies in Hungary.

Since the foundation of MC Hungary, production in Kövesgyür was extended several times. “Thanks to the investments made into our production plant and the successful sales activities of our staff, we were able to double our capacities within three years and to continuously increase and further extend them,” says Rapp. Today, the Hungarian MC subsidiary manufactures, among other products, admixtures for concrete, ready-mixed repair mortars and shotcrete and delivers them also to neighboring countries and the entire Balkan region.
