It all began as a journey into the land of superlatives. By the end of the study trip, however, the Emirate of Dubai, from the perspective of the participants of the trip, had become a little tarnished. Invitations to the one-week study trip to Dubai, the best-known of the seven United Arab Emirates, had been extended by the German Precast Concrete Association (BDB) and BFT INTERNATIONAL.

In addition to the visit to three concrete plants, tours of the BIG 5 trade fair and of the city of Dubai, devoted exclusively to the local construction activities, were on the group’s itinerary.

Immediately on the first day of travel, the 17 participants of the trip toured the city and visited some of the most important sights, including a short stop at the Gold Suk.
