Amplitude Monitoring: understanding vibrations, identifying patterns, optimizing processes
Precise compaction is crucial for the quality of concrete products. Masa Amplitude Monitoring checks and analyzes the vibration behavior of the vibrating table on the Block & Paver Making Machine, thereby helping to identify sources of error and improve production processes. At the SLG Plant Managers’ Conference 2026, Markus Feix (Masa GmbH) provided in-depth insights into vibration theory, the Masa analysis tool and potential future developments.
Common concrete products such as paving stones, hollow blocks, curbstones or concrete slabs are usually produced on block & paver making machines using the vibration process. The best possible compaction of the concrete mix in the mold results from the interaction of the vibrations of the vibrating table, the additional load of the upper mold section (compaction head), a product-specific pre-tension of the lower mold section, and other influencing factors.
The aim is always to produce a concrete product with high compactness, defined product heights and clearly formed chamfers and edges. A wide...
