Board production expected to be continued

The permanent closure of Rettenmeier Holding AG’s industrial unit of boards for the concrete industry with its brand UPplus is expected to be continued after June 30th 2013. A serious buyer is in final talks, which are to be closed in the upcoming weeks. Originally, several potential buyers were interested.

The new investor, the REFTIM GmbH (under incorporation) plans to continue the production of boards for the concrete industry with its brand UPplus, maintaining the jobs as well as the relocation of its production facilities within the region of Schwäbisch Hall. The buyer is interested in optimizing the organisational and technical processes. A mid-term project to increase product quality through technical investments is planned. At first, an annual production volume of 15.000 cbm is targeted.
