Slender and loadbearing

In mid- 2013, Fliegl Agrartechnik moved into their new headquarters in the German federal state of Bavaria. Among the special features of the building erected with 3,120 precast parts are: slender, loadbearing Vierendeel girders in the production hall, and a structural solution without columns in the exhibition and sales hall.

The new construction of the plant to relocate the headquarters of Fliegl Agrartechnik GmbH from Töging to Mühldorf impressively documents the development of the company into an international enterprise.

The plant was planned within three years and erected on a site covering approximately 30 ha near Mühldorf in the German federal state of Bavaria. The construction measure, which takes up a cubage of around 1 million m3 and 7.5 ha of roofed area, was already put into operation in the first half of 2013.
