Sales launch of the new truck mixer generation 05

The sales launch of the new truck mixer generation 05 has begun. An online configurator helps to select many new options and even calculates possible optional payloads. The new truck mixer generation has been completely reworked with a view to more economy, improved ergonomics, and greater safety. The first new truck mixers of the most popular type HTM 905 have already been delivered.

Greater economy

The new steel quality further enhances the economy of these vehicles. The entire drum, including the spiral plates and the wear-protection strips, are manufactured of LICRO 500 special steel. This steel, exclusively manufactured for Liebherr, owing to its higher chrome content and the especially hard titanium carbonitride used, exhibits great resistance to wear. Customers profit from the longer service life of the drum. The curb weight was reduced by up to 300 kg from the predecessor, from which the payload benefits.

Special attention was given to cleaning. Dirt-prone edges were removed and smoother surfaces created. The result is less susceptibility to dirt and less cleaning. The optional drum control Litronic-EMC regulates the rotational speed to the given requirements during loading and unloading. The Constant Speed Drive function prevents unnecessary drum rotation while in transit. Fuel savings and reduced wear further increase the overall cost efficiency.

Many options
for more safety

Many functions for the operator were designed to be more user-friendly to facilitate day-to-day work. An innovative platform concept enables fitting of accessories such as storage compartments, fixing devices, and extension chutes at various positions. Subsequent attachment of options is possible as well. All control elements were designed for maximum user friendliness. The concrete transfer chute can be completely swung sideways without projecting beyond the outer lateral dimensions of the vehicle. This is of special advantage for emptying large concrete buckets or for better access to cleaning work.

The transfer chute was moved upward by approx. 120 mm, which improves the angle of flow during concrete transfer. The new chute brake locks the slewing chute quickly and securely with one movement of the operator’s hand. The lateral storage unit for the extension chutes was positioned lower to make removal easier. The new supervisor platform offers more space, and the aluminum sliding ladder is now lighter and easier to operate. An optional operator roof on the rear of the truck protects the driver from the weather.

The truck mixer
can be configured online

The benefits of the innovative platform concept include the fitting of storage compartments, tool boxes, and fastenings. Safe storage of tools, gloves, trowels, shovels, brooms, and other equipment is possible without problem and is in easy reach of the driver. The new inclined angled steps and the enlarged platform make work on the vehicle’s upper rear side safer. The tubular railing has a greater diameter for a better grip. The optional drum control Litronic-EMC additionally increases safety and prevents operating errors such as a sudden change of the direction of rotation. The rear control unit can be switched off while driving, and operation by unauthorized persons is impossible. The water volume in the mixer drum has been increased. This reduces the problem of liquid sloshing out during the transport of liquids.

The online configurator enables interested parties themselves to select their HTM 905: e.g., with respect to normal or lighter models, optional packages, accessories, and vehicle paint jobs. The prospective customer can look at his dream truck mixer from various viewpoints to see how the final vehicle would look. The possible payload in cubic meters of concrete is calculated live during all steps of configuration. The customer’s personal configuration of specifications can be stored or directly submitted to the manufacturer.
