The use of self-compacting concrete (SCC) has not yet become as widespread in Europe as originally hoped despite its numerous concrete technology benefits in terms of workability and product quality. The low degree of acceptance of this material is essentially due to the difficulties encountered when trying to reliably reproduce the specified fresh concrete properties in construction practice.
