New checking regulations for pipes and manholes subjected to traffic loads

In this context, previous and frequent reports have appeared on new approaches for the structural design of pipes subjected to traffic loads. Since the final version of DWA-A 161 is scheduled to be published at the beginning of 2013, design rules should by now be clear. The following will present the procedure for determining traffic loads imposed on pipes and manholes.
