Dorner Terminal – concrete request point 4.0
Dorner Electronic GmbH applied for the “2018 Innovation Prize of the Supplier Industry for Structural Concrete Products” with the newly developed Dorner Terminal, a “concrete request point 4.0”. With this software development, the Austrian company meets the requirements of a state-of-the-art, digital concrete request point in the precast concrete plant.
Dorner Terminal was developed using state-of-the-art technologies; it is web-based and operated via a touchscreen. The user interface of the software application has been programmed in responsive web design and adapts to the display width and height of the device currently used – in other words: the software application can be used both on the desktop computer in the office and on the tablet computer or smartphone.
Mobile solution
Concrete formulae available for request as well as the permissible request quantities and water correction factors can be configured quickly and independently. This not only makes operation easier but also prevents errors in production.
In addition, a single terminal can be used for multiple request points or processing locations. This feature reduces the number of terminals required and minimizes investment and maintenance costs.
Finally, it is of advantage that the operator’s location is of no significance, as the connection to the controller is established via the local network or the Internet.
