Amendment of the Waste Water Ordinance –
Implications for the enforcement

So far, the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt) has granted national technical approvals (abZ) for small wastewater treatment plants manufactured in series production. The national technical approval defines requirements on design, installation, operation and maintenance of small wastewater treatment plants in accordance with the legal provisions in § 57 and § 60 of the German Federal Water Act (WHG).
