When preparing concrete products for delivery, the size, weight and shape of the packages can vary enormously. In such cases, stretch film systems provide the best solution for packaging and transport.

 The machine frame of the Octopus automatic pallet wrapper, made by Oy M. Haloila Ab, consists of a torsion-resistant portal construction. The upper section is supported by an aluminium profile frame and the bottom section by square structural tubing made of steel. The compact, modular construction of the machine enables integration into any existing conveyor system, as well as trouble-free servicing, optimal access to the moving parts, and quick roll changes. The rolls of film are replaced using an „easy load system“: the film carriage is fitted with a swing door, which ensures quick and easy exchange of the rolls.

The rotary ring, on which the film carriage is mounted, carries out the selected wrapping program with its various parameter settings, such as the number of wraps at the top and bottom, the film overlap, and the various film tension values, etc., all of which permits more cost-effective use of the film. The cover sheet is placed automatically and can also be programmed by the user as required. Octopus automatic stretch wrapping machines can be adjusted to set the required final film tension on the product, depending on the type of goods, transport or storage, via a 0 to 300% variable pre-stretch setting, which helps to cut operating costs due to the reduced or optimised quantity of film required. Time savings are also made due to the reduction in changeover time for the film rolls.
